Introduction
I am an experienced educator with over four years of teaching and tutoring experience across diverse educational settings, including online instruction, English language education in Japan, STEM enrichment programs, exam preparation, and private academic tutoring. Throughout my career, I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through university level, helping them build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and achieve meaningful progress toward their goals.

My teaching background includes experience as both a lead teacher (T1) and support teacher (T2), as well as work in Japanese eikaiwa schools, cram schools, STEM camps, and individualized tutoring environments. I have supported students preparing for a wide range of assessments, including the SAT, ACT, PSAT, U.S. state examinations, AP and IB coursework, and various school entrance and placement exams. This breadth of experience has allowed me to develop flexible teaching strategies that can be adapted to different learning styles, academic systems, and student needs.

In addition to my educational experience, I bring a strong professional background in business, hospitality, travel sales, and customer relations. These roles strengthened my communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, all of which help me create positive learning experiences and build strong partnerships with students and families. This allowed me to maintain repeat clients and garner an average rating of 4.8-5.0 depending on the week.

Living and working in Japan has given me a unique perspective on international education and cross-cultural communication. Over the years, I have worked extensively with students from Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and other international backgrounds. I enjoy learning about different cultures and adapting my teaching approach to help students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated. Being based in Japan also allows me to work conveniently within Asian time zones, providing reliable availability and scheduling flexibility for students and families across the region.

One area I am especially passionate about is helping students develop the skills they will need in an increasingly technology-driven world. As artificial intelligence becomes more integrated into education and the workplace, I believe students benefit from learning not only how to use these tools responsibly, but also how to think critically, evaluate information carefully, communicate effectively, and solve problems independently. My goal is to help students build strong academic foundations while developing the confidence, curiosity, and adaptability needed for long-term success.

Above all, I believe that meaningful learning happens when students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. I strive to create engaging, student-centered lessons that foster both academic achievement and a genuine love of learning, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my experience, international perspective, and enthusiasm for education to your team.
