Hi! I’m Lorina Lee, a senior at The Stony Brook School in New York. I previously studied at Harrow Hong Kong and Cardiff Sixth Form College. I mainly tutor high school students, with a strong focus on English, Spanish, Biology, and Psychology mainly at the GCSE level but also the APs.

I have experience working with students through both structured curricula and independently designed lessons which often includes exam-style questions, reinforcing understanding, and focusing on each student’s specific areas for improvement - especially important for GCSE success.

I have worked with students independently whose predicted grades were around a 6 or 7 in various subjects, and through consistent, targeted support, they were able to achieve a grade 9.

For language learning, I emphasize both practical communication and strong grammar and writing skills. In Spanish lessons, I can conduct sessions fully in Spanish if preferred, which is especially helpful for beginners building confidence. As a multilingual speaker (English, Chinese, and Spanish), I adapt my teaching style to suit students from different backgrounds and learning preferences.

In addition to tutoring, I have assisted in a few psychological studies at the University of Hong Kong focused on child development and learning, which has strengthened my understanding and knowledge particularly in psychology.

My goal is to provide structured, engaging, and supportive lessons that help high school students improve their results, succeed in GCSE exams, and build genuine interest in their subjects along the way.
