Hi! My name is Sonia Ng. I was born in Hong Kong but moved to the UK in 2022 and have been teaching students from ages 5 -13 English for the past 14 years at Hong Kong Primary School and Special School in England. I am passionate about teaching. Seeing my students learn and grow could make me over the moon. I love running, going on hikes, watching movies, and reading books but my favourite thing to do is spending time with my two lovely cats!

🍀Use the approach to literacy gets every child reading, writing and talking
– whatever their background or need
🍀 Each phonics lessons includes your child to read, spell and write
🍀 Here are the steps I will do in each lesson:
1.Introduce the different letter sounds.
2.Demonstrate the pronunciation of the sounds.
3.Show examples of the letter sounds in stories or songs.
4. Practice how to form the letter sounds.
5. Move on to reading short words made up of familiar letter sounds.

🍀 Learners will not only develop their reading skills but also expanding their vocabulary and comprehension skills through answering questions by multiple choices, making sentences by target vocabulary and by answering open questions effectively
🍀Learners practise making prediction, asking question, visualizing and applying strategies to understand a text.
🍀 promote 'Literacy' in order to understand, interpret and extract appropriate information, as well as to communicate ideas and information effectively
